Howard Edward Brewer, 76, of Roanoke Rapids, died Monday, July 7, 2008.

Howard was a native of Orange County, the son of the late John William Brewer and Cora Brooks Brewer. He was the founder and longtime owner/operator of Brewer’s Radiator Service in Roanoke Rapids. He and his wife, Judy, were married for thirty-three years.

He is survived by his wife and caregiver, Judy Denham Brewer; a special stepdaughter, Tammy Denham of Roanoke Rapids; three sons, Kim Brewer and his wife, Barbara, Tim Brewer and his wife, Lucille, and Eric Brewer and his wife, Leah, all of Roanoke Rapids; a granddaughter, Renee Brantley, and her husband, Ricky W. Brantley, Jr., of Gaston; one great-grandson, Ricky W. Brantley, III, and his faithful cat, Precious.

Askew Funeral & Cremation Services is handling the arrangements, where the family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2008. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 10, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with Rev. Henry Stephens officiating. Interment will follow at the Brewer Cemetery.
